'97 switchblade programed!!!!
I went to the dealer who said that it would not work. I already bought the switchblade so I had to find out for sure. I got the '97 programming instructions and programmed the switchblade. Everything works fine. '97 s with keyless entry can have switchblade remotes!!!

Buy the same switchblade as 98 and new cars
It has three buttons, one for the lock, unlock and trunk. It also has a panic on the side. It's super easy to program and my dealer said it wouldn't work on my car either, but that's not correct.
But you are in Norway, so your could be different than ours. Beware.

You need two keys.
Put one key in the ignition and turn the ignition on (but not the engine). Using the remote you want to program, get out of the car and lock it manually with the key. Then press the lock button on the remote, repeat at one second intervals up to four times to associate it with the seat/mirror memory button of choice, then wait five seconds, and hit unlock. It should unlock the door and be programmed.
If you go to the dealer and ask them for the half of the remote that has the trasmitter on it, and bring in two keys, you'll be able to see if it works without buying it if they'll let you go out to the parking lot for a few minutes. If it does work, then buy the key half and have them cut it.
It's about $100 for both halves in the US.
