Default You would need the same parts, however the part numbers are different.........

On the 40 Valve A8/S8 engine.

Default Thanks - It's just the $5 chrome door edge guard.

Remove the piece, clean it real well and go around the outside of it with the el cheapo chrome door edge guard available at any local parts store. It comes in a roll and is even self-adhesive.

Easy, cheap mod.

Default impossible to bend all valves

I would assume not all the valves are bent, but either the exhaust or intakes, since the cam would have stoped only the open valve will get bent, on the A6 I bought only 4 of the exhaust valves were bent. but can't do a pressure test unless you remove the cams, since their is no timming belt. of course the A6 was a 8 valve this is a 32 valve car so my guess it bent about 16-20 of them ouch.

Default I dunno. My buddy blew his engine on an E36 M3 and all of those were bent from the rotational

momentum. It even damaged the head too. But if only a set were bent, still a lot of money to spend on a used D2 with a lot of money to be put in. Hell I'd sell you mine in working order for like 6K!!

Default *edit* sorry, I posted that last post. His situation was different. He over revved downshifting

and the timing belt skipped. Sorry I am stupid and dont listen to me! : - )

Default When my timing belt jumped on my wife's car, it bent the intake valves only.

It happened at almost idle and it only jumped 2 teeth. If it snaps at high rpm, sh*t could happen.
This guy bent all the valves and his timing belt didn't even jumped. Do you want to guess, what happened?
