Acceleration

I have an acceleration time of 10secs from 0-100km/h. I believe the car shoudl do it in 7 secs. Ive tried it both on normal ad tiptronic modes

I did have some problems with the fuel pump recently...can it be fuel related

How can i improve on it...

You need to do a fuel delivery test

You remove the return line of the fuel line and operate the fuel pump and measure it's volume for 15 seconds, the Bently has a specification for this.

You also need to do a pressure output test of the fuel pump.

It accelerated normally before this work, correct?

i would nt know.. because it had this particular problem when i was buygin it so i never got a chance to dirve it before...

although how would i do this check... do you ahev any details on the Bently specifications?

How is a pressure output test done?

You need a test set up

Pressure test: disconnect high pressure hose and hook up pressure gage, energize the fuel pump and see what it reads (it will have no flow).

Fuel delivery: disconnect low pressure line and energize fuel pump for 15 seconds and measure flow.

Test requirements

oe Fuse 1 in fuse holder -4- (right side A-pillar) OK => page 20-21
oe Fuel pump relay (passenger side footwell, position 6) OK
oe Fuel filter in good condition
oe At least 12 volts at fuel pump (when pump is running)
Checking

&#8210; Connect remote control => page 20-21.
&#8210; Remove return line at fuel pressure regulator.
&#8210; ¨ Attach auxiliary hose, Part No. 8A0 201 351, to fuel pressure regulator and hold opposite end in measuring beaker.
&#8210; Actuate remote control to operate fuel pump continuously for 15 seconds.
&#8210; Compare fuel delivery rate to specified values in table.
Fuel delivery rate specifications

Voltage at fuel pump
Rate

12 volts
460 cc (ml)in 15 sec.

13 volts
540 cc (ml) in 15 sec.

Note:

After each test, approx. 3 liters (3/4 gal.) of fuel must be added to the fuel tank through the fuel filler.
