Possible to detect low fuel pressure/bad fuel pump with VAG-COM ?
#2
Nope. No fuel pressure transducer
ECU doesn't have a clue what the fuel pressure is. Therefore it can't tell VAG-COM.
Gotta do this the old-fashioned way with a pressure gauge. Many fuel rails have a port for attaching a gauge for diagnostic purposes.

Oscilloscope on fuel pump...
can also do this.
A current probe (clamp on style) around the fuel pump power line will tell you right away the health of the fuel pump (current draw, RPM & motor condition) without ever needing to open a fuel line.
It won't tell you the fuel pressure, but if the motor's shot then there's no need to test pressure. This is the fastest way to test a fuel pump.
