Any chance this could be made to work in an '02 D2...
...and if so, what else would be needed (cables, antenna, etc)?

That's a MOST device
Meaning it is a fiber optic device. If you look at the post below, you would need a Symphony II radio from a later A4 that is satelitte ready, a control module, and a wiring harness.
