Nice, but it never had the instrument cluster changed over
You have to love the bi-xenons.....it has a RNS-D, wonder if they ever got the US maps to load.

Local to me... tranny time bomb?
I found it on craigslist, didn't see it on ebay.
I'm considering it, but wondering if the transmission is improved over my 98 a8, or is it the same time bomb?

Paul, which one of these would be the better choice?
Right now I have saved up the cash to buy a unit and am debating buying one off of ebay or from proxus. I have read through nsxjr's guide as well as this <a href="http://www.allroadfaq.com/downloads/mods/TED_RNS_E.pdf">one</a> and feel pretty confident. Aside from trimming the faceplate, are there other major differences for the D2 install? Also, what is the advantage to buying a later model? I have been looking at these two on ebay: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-Navi-Plus-A4-S4-RS4-RNS-E-Navigation-DVD-MP3_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38653QQihZ009QQitem Z190241771066QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW">#1</a>
and <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-Navi-Plus-A4-S4-RS4-RNS-E-Navigation-DVD-MP3_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38653QQihZ009QQitem Z190216441832QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V">#2</a>

I would rather not give advice
You can go to navplus.us....it's a major purchase and then requires wiring harnesses, additional modules for bluetooth and XM/Sirius, etc.
I would rather not steer anyone any which way and be responsible for anything. Get an A4 unit, they are very easy to trim, about 20 minutes.
Good luck!

Thanks PaulW. I have figured out my sources and will post pics when things arrive.
I posted on navplus but its kinda worthless because I know the answers to my questions. I worked it out and am getting the gps and harness, etc for $1250. Blue tooth and Aux inputs to come later (much later).
