Default Re: Angus- go drink a beer or three and chill ;-) Two grammar posts in one day?!?

Or, if we have a grammar face-off and I win, do I get a date with that gorgeous Audi-cious chick in your signature photo?

Default i had the exact same problem and it wasn't the fuel pump...

i had the fuel filter, jet suction pump, and PCV replaced at the same time. the jet suction pump clogs or goes bad leading to a failure of the diaphram within the PCV. once my mechanic replaced the two, my car was running just fine. if it's that, you should be able to hear air blowing or put your hand on the PCV with the engine running to cover up any leaks. it should make a difference in the pressure making the engine run smoother, and get worse when you remove your hand. try it out, but that's what my mechanic did and it fixed it all... let me know what happens. either way i wish you the best. good luck. i have the exact same color and year and have gone through problems with mine so i feel for you. godspeed.

Thankyou for the heads up. Looking like the f/p is the problem, but I will check PCV too.

ordered mine last night from Magnum's UK source. $260ish (I think) with rough currency conversion.
