Default on the C4s the vacuum pump for the locking system is under the back seat and

you can pull the tube leading to the trunk and suck/blow on it to lock/unlock the trunk. Maybe it's the same for the A8s.

Default Brilliant!! Remove it from under hood and put it in the wheel well for easy access...

Sorry, this is new info and maybe I am just not seeing it correctly. Where in the wheel well is it? Ease of access? Do I need a scissor jack?

Default Sometimes I wish I carried an aluminum baseball bat.

And in Dave Chappelle style "Whack, he's still here" crack 'em over top da head.

Default no need to jack the car up .....

if you lay on the ground next to the pass front tire facing underneath, look the front of the car and you will see two big wires going in to a plastic "box". One wire will be exposed at its end (this is the neg). The other will have a plastic door that flips down (this is the pos). They should be labeled if there is not a lot of road crud on them.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of them, but I have seen them posted here. Maybe a search will bring up something.

Good luck and if you can't find it, let me know and I'll bring my camera out and take a few for ya!
