A/C no longer works, stuck in ECON mode

A/C no longer works, stuck in ECON mode
So when the car starts up it automatically goes into ECON mode. At a park and idle, I can turn it off and it will start blowing regular a/c but when i start driving, after 1 or 2 seconds ECON turns off and ceases to blow any cold air.
The compressor(I hope it's not the compressor itself) fan works until i drive in reverse or forward and there is one clip that had been broken for sometime causing the whole frame to rattle could this have made it malfunction?
Haven't been able to check VAG-COM since I get excessive com errors through HVAC.

If it's not operating properly, the AC willnot function normally either. The electric must run 100% of the time when AC is set to "auto". If not, something is malfunctioning...the resistor pack, relay or climate control head.

Hmm electrical looks fine, it's strange because I can turn off econ and feel cold air when i turn on my car before i reverse or move forward. It actually instantly turns on econ after i switch to reverse or drive. Could it be the compressor? My understanding is econ mode air blowing without using the compressor, and automatically shutting off the compressor leads me to think that that is the problem..

"compressor fan" ?
"broken clip"? ...part of the compressor or it's mounting?
...my question: Is the electric fan (on the radiator/condenser) running at idle (engine cold and warm) while AC is blowing cold air (set to "auto")?
Have someone else change controls while you listen under the hood >>>
Is AC clutch engaging when controls are set from off to auto, while idling?
Is there plenty of refrigerant in the system?

From reading this you really should take it to a shop. never try to fix a/c systems, especially in these cars without some diagnostics and background on a/c system, There are so many possibilities its endless.

The temperature outside has dropped to around 95 and my a/c started working again, whenever I was having this problem it had been daily high of 105+ for a couple of weeks. And also, when I wrote compressor fan I did indeed mean the condenser fan. It would turn on but immediately shut off if I sat in idle too long or started moving at all.
