Can someone please define the differences between A8L and A8Q-thanks

the A8L has a longer wheel base which means more leg room in the back seats. The A8Q is quattro, which is a moot point as both the A8L and A8Q have quattro. I think that's it. Oh, and the L came out in 2000 I believe (at least here in the states).

I've always wondered why there is no-one that created a convertible out of an A8. The design would most likely make a beautiful convertible.

A8 and A8L D2's are the same. The A8L just has a longer wheelbase and selfleveling suspension @ rear

The L's got a slight power bump and larger front brakes I believe

On the facelift (2000 - up) it went up to 310 - for both the L and the regular wheelbase (not many of those latter cars around).
