Label side up!
Had to check.
What error code is it giving you? There are a number of codes, each of which refer to a different issue.
I had an intermittent problem during our freezing winters, but its worked fine otherwise.
How is the weather where you are?

Similar problem here
I had intermittent problems earlier, wouldn't read some CD's, seemed pretty random which and when.
It got gradually worse from september, until november/december with error on all discs most of the time. It mostly says "No CD x" and so on. Lower temperatures has crossed my mind as a possible trigger, but there has to be an underlaying problem.
I'm fitting my new RNS-E today, so I probably won't care much about it. With 2 x 4GB SD cards and probably USB/iPod connection, who needs an ancient CD changer anyway? :-)

Re: cd changer issues
There are some answers if you do a search on cd system errors. It seems to be a bit of a problem. I am going through the same thing myself. As soon as it warms up I will attempt it.
