cd player

I recently tried to remove the cd holder from the cd box in the trunk...with one cd still in the play mechanism..stupid me..the message "CD00ERR" showed on the cd player screen..i removed the cd box from the car, disassembled the box and then carefully removed the cd that was still in the play mechanism and reassembled and reinstalled everything..the error message still comes on and there is no cd audio..what shall I do?

Phatboxes are really cheap right now, if you're >97 and have a Concert or Symphony head unit.

you're saying that i can install a phatbox in my '97? How do i get one and how to install?

I have seen mass piles of phatboxes being installed regularly at my friendly VW dealership.

I cant remember if they told me that they were either going to become standard in future vehicles or they are going out of style like disco and they are just trying to get rid of them to make way for something better.
Either way, they should be a cheap upgrade to find.
