Don't buy one w/o running a vag or vag com fault scan
At the very least you will gain some negotiating leverage, depending what shows up.
I would suggest a very careful inspection including getting enough ATF on a white paper towel to see what it looks and smells like.
Especially with fuel prices going up, these are now a huge amount of used car for the money.
