Emission Recall LT
I got a recall notice friday
"Audi has found that the locking cover for the fuel sending unit housing could become distorted under certain climatic conditions. Should this happen, fuel vapors could escape into the atmosphere. A vapor leak also illuminates the dashboard MIL light."
I wonder where this cover is and too if this is the cause of my check engine light that comes and goes?

I also got the recall notice. The part that makes me mad is I had all this replaced July for $350. I called the dealer today to confirm that this was taken care of in my car, he said it is a newly released part and I still need it. Having the same procedure done 2 times within 3 months is annoying.

Possibly AOA will reimburse you for your trouble.
In the letter that I got it said that if hyou had to replace this in the past, they will consider paying for it.
