Default Factory speaker problem.

Anyone ever have a problem with the factory speaker? I'm trying to hook up my parrot kit and the speaker isn't responded. The fuse is ok.

Thanks.

Default What speaker? The B Pillar speaker?

What output are you using? Or are you just using TAGA8's kit?

Default Yes, the B pillar speaker

I'm using Taga's kit. We got everything to work except for the B pillar speaker. Any thoughts on why it wouldn't work?

Default It should work

I would put a multimeter on the DC scale and see if you have any input to the speaker.

How are you getting to it? Through the DB-25 connector in the trunk?

If so, then take the two pins that feed the B pillar speaker and measure the resistance across them. Should be about 4 ohms. If so, then you know the speaker is good. The V60 procedure on audipages.com has the pin out.

Default another way to test the speaker is to connect a 9v battery somewhere along the wiring path..

if you can do that where you tied into with the kit, you'll be testing the wiring and spkr at the same time. You shoot hear a pop if everything is ok.
