Default Fair price for my car? - Updated Now with 10% more information!!!

Since everyone here has been so helpful over the past few years, I thought I'd ask for advice on pricing my A8. As most of you know by now, I've gone to the eco side and am now getting 55+ mpg in my Honda Insight hybrid that my kids call the spaceship.

Going on the block will be my 98 A8 with 162k miles. Cold Weather & Hot Weather packages, Xenon upgrade, lowered with Eibach Pro-Kit and Bilsteins, 05 OEM S4 18" Avus 6 spokes and Eagle F1 GSD-3's with 50%+ tread remaining, ECS slotted front rotors and ECS rear rotors installed less than 10k miles ago. Center muffler removed and SuperSprint rear muffler installed. Phatbox (although I may swap the original CD changer back in). Clear corners and side markers with superwhite LEDs. Near new oem euro headlight glass. Everything works beautifully except the cruise control which works when it feels like it and the mast antenna fell victim to a car wash although it barely impacts reception.

Any thoughts or comments on what I should ask and what I should reasonably expect to get will be greatly appreciated.

Default I'll be interested to find out

My car should go for about the same as yours....

Thinking no more than $9K....sad....but probably true.

You should part out some of your mods. Xenons, armrests. To me!

Default Wait I had this idea ....

Even though that Super sprint is not the twin tip I would be more than interested. unless PAUL......

I also wanted them wheels but more interested in the supersprint.

When misbehavin mentioned that he was selling I figured I'd offer cause you never get money back for mods trust me I have tried. but he never replied.

Default Parts requests

I've been thinking about the value of parting out some items but haven't decided yet on which way to go.

A) Supersprint. Expense involved with having it removed and replaced is probably not worth the value received in selling it.

B) Wheels. This one is a possibility I haven't ruled out yet. Also have original 17" 5 spokes with near new Dunlop Winter Sport M3's. Might consider a swap plus cash for the Avus wheels and sell the 5 spokes with the Dunlops as well.

C) Suspension. A fair amount of work to remove and replace with stock components. Again, probably not worth the time, money and effort considering the springs are under $300 new.

D) Phatbox will likely be pulled and replaced with the factory CD changer.

E) Xenons. I think it would be fairly easy to remove these and replace with the originals. I'll look into it and let you know.

So, that being said I'm probably going to advertise it as-is with the hope that a sport minded VW or smaller Audi owner is looking to move up. If I don't get reasonable offers, I'll consider swap/sell for the wheels at least and possibly the other items.

I'll let you know if I have time to pull the Phatbox this weekend. If anyone is interested shoot me an email.

Btw, after the first week in the Insight, I do miss the A8 but not nearly as much as I thought I would as I roll past the gas station day after day. Plus, the car handles much better than you might expect. Very different, but still a nice ride.

I wouldn't part out anything, just sell the car as a whole.
