FL versus PFL hood and trim differences

FL versus PFL hood and trim differences
OK, so I recently bought a FL 00 A8 with a bad transmission and a severely damaged hood... but otherwise it's a great car with all the maintenance complete and updated and 130K.
Does anyone know if the Pre-Facelift hood will fit on a Facelift car? There are some minor fascia changes below the front bumper and headlights, but it appears that a 1998 hood should fit on a 2000... but has anyone confirmed this? I've got my '98 parts car that I can pull the hood and re-spray more easily than fixing the hood on the 2000 but I thought I'd check with you guys to see if anyone has swapped FL and PFL?
