Foam Air Filter
Does anyone know if a foam air filter exists for the A8. I have been doing some reading online and would like to upgrade my intake. I remember my days with my then new 1994 Honda Civic Coupe. I had installed a K&N cone air filter and I loved the sound it produced. I would like to get more engine sound out of the A8, I dont know if this is possible.

K&N panel filter working well for me.
I'm not sure about the factory air intake setup on an 01, but on my 98 I have an intake in the lower right grill insert and a larger one feeding from behind the main grill section.
You may want to try a K&N and use some insulating (heat reflective) material on the intake tubes and the airbox to shield the incoming air from the heat of the engine compartment. That's my next task for the summer!
