Frozen rear calipers on 2001 s8 - seeking replacements or repair advice

The retracting screws are frozen on my calipers preventing the replacement of pads...any suggestions or sources for new,used or aftermarket parts? Trick fix? thanks!

I assume you are rotating the piston as you compress it. It must be turned clockwise as you press it in.

both A8 and S8 in 2001 had the same rear calipers and pads. try car-part dot com for some used parts. I got my replacement calipers there.

Hi, I just changed my break pads Monday and we had some trouble getting the piston back in but we did about 30 minutes later works fine. I suggest give it another try.

The same thing happend to me. I tried one day and it did not move. I found someone local to rebuild it but before I took it off I gave it one more try, and it went back in.
