Default fuel injector O-ring seals fyi

there are two O-rings on the fuel injectors, an upper, and a lower. The lower O-ring is larger than the upper, and seals between the injector and the intake manifold. The online parts places just list them both as "fuel injector seal" so I ordered the upper ones by mistake.

When I called around looking for the lower seals, one Audi dealer said "I don't have that part in my system -- I've never ordered any before" The other dealer said "we just reuse the old ones, they're usually fine."

Default would the O-ring kits from Harbor Freight Tools help? Hundreds, in diff sizes, $3-$12

Just put the word "o-ring" in their search area ("Find by Keyword"). A number of kits will come up.
Lots of different sizes.
If you have a Harbor Freight Tools store near you, they usually have the kits on sale for $3-$6.
Would any of those kits help?

http://www.harborfreight.com</a

Default Maybe - I'm always worried about the material specification

with any rubber (ish) parts. Those o-rings are in a pretty harsh environment, and I don't know

(a) the OEM spec
(b) the spec on any replacement parts.

Frustrating.

Default The Dealer is expensive, but for these, I would use them

EscapA8 posted the part numbers before.

You can usually get a kit with the O rings and pintle caps for $2.50-$3.50 each from your local auto parts store. Check around, prices vary quite a bit from supplier to supplier so there might be a $3 difference per kit (x8 kits) often from the same store. I got the kits from Autozone or Checker for my 928 and 944S2.
