Default Fuel leak

I had the high pressure line fuel leak near the fuel rail as discussed on Pauls site. I fixed it two years ago as described with the fuel resistant epoxy. Last week, I drove the car for the first time in about a month, (yes it is/was very cold here). I smelled the dreaded fuel smell, and sure enough it was leaking through the epoxy I had used. I reapplied the same epoxy over the old, after proper roughing-up with sandpaper, but am not sure of that for a long-term fix. Two questions, am I using the wrong kind of epoxy? Has anyone done a more permanent fix with replacement fuel line and clamps or ??? I'm not interested in the dealer option of replacing all of the lines front to back as a kit $$$$ ouch. Thanks.

I fixed mine by cutting off the fitting between the rubber hose and the metal tube (swag fitting?) I then used a very high equality clap. It turned out so well I did the other ones located between the air filter box and the strut tower. This was back in the summer of 2003. If you do a search you'll find it. I would have attached the piture but I always forget how to do it.

Found your fix in the archives. That is exactly what I was thinking of doing but thought this line was under big pressure, and that scared me off. If it has worked for you since '03, seems like it might work for me too.
I'll see if my reapplication of epoxy holds for a while, then maybe try your approach.
Thanks for the info.

I had the high pressure leak at Thanksgiving in Mass. and went for the hose clamps fix, no further leaks, but it has not been brutally cold here in DC

Default I just tightened a clamp around the existing seeping fitting, and have had no further

trouble. Unless I smell fuel again, that's as far as I'm going with it.
