I read the headrest repair procedure (lumbar height too). After reading it I decided to tackle the project. After taking the back of the seat off and really looking at the problem, I decided neither procedure was simple or time tested. There was a second one about lengthening the cable sleeve. We found a very simple procedure that worked very well after discussing it for a while. We discussed using a c clip type piece to limit the travel of the cable into the motor as this is the real goal. Instead we got some of those washer type things with the teeth that are typically used on the back side of a push pin connector. Could not get a good pic because of the size but will try soon.We purchased them at a parts store for 99 cents. Once in place it limited the travel of the cable and worked perfectly. On hour and fixed both headrests and lumbars. Does anyone know where the motor is located for the back lumbar motor? Thanks in advance.
