Default Sadly enough, I'd really like them to put an auto in the CTS-V...eventhough I hate slushers.

If it had an automatic, it'd be a lot easier to get it justified in front of the wife. I looked at that, the cpo A8L, the cpo A6 4.2 and the V70R when it was time to get more room for the baby.

I really like the way the CTS-V looks exterior, not so much interior, and I really love all that power. The A6 4.2 rear seat was too sculpted to be pratical for car seats. And the V70R was just too small/crappy value for money.

Once the little guy is in a forward facing seat I'll be thinking about the CTS-V again.

once the little ones would need no car seats, it's time for an S4 or a Carrera cabriolet :-)

Default Better Vehicle: 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT-8..........

is the one to go for it you are looking at replacing your A8 with a domestic. The 425-horsepower 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 is supposed to deliver 0-60 mph in the low 5-second range and quarter-mile time in the high 13-second range.

Default bah.. the CTS-V does that stock NA... does the 300C SRT-8 come with a manual?

14" 4 pot brembo front and 14.5" 4 pot brembo rear? fully loaded with nav, tire press monitoring, yada yada for $50,000. Don't get me wrong, the SRT-8 will be sweet... but I give the CTS-V way more props over that.
