Possibilities:
Missing supply voltage for solenoid -N110-
Solution:
- Check wiring and connections per wiring diagram.
Second Possibility:
Short circuit to GND 1)
Solution:
Read measuring value block, display group 003 page 01-80 .
Carry out electrical testing page 01-110 .
Display Group 003, field 2 is the Shift lock solenoid -N110- activation
You need to look at that and figure out what it does.....if it's a short circuit to ground.....then it blew a fuse....
Find the problem and correct it.
Car goes into limp mode??? Does that mean that the tranny goes into limp mode??? That's when all the lights light up on the dash (PRND432) and it opens the torque converter and drives in 4th gear.
If that's the case, she's good to drive the car, even though it won't be smooth.....she can drive it home.
In regard to 18032....it means the check engine light is on....this is what it says to do:
- Check DTC memory via "Automatic Test Sequence" by inserting address word "00"
Only certain faults on the tranny trip the CEL....it does this through the CAN bus on the car....even though it's a 97-99 (pre facelift) it had a CAN bus or multiple CAN buses.....
