How to carry out electrical test on automatic transmission without VAG 1598 tool?
Hi, I need to carry out the electrical test procedure for my transmission (ZF 5HP24A)
I have found the general gearbox test procedure which I will also carry out.

How do I carry out the tests without the VAG 1598 tool? IS it a matter of putting a mutlimeter onto the correct pin and measuring? i.e. test 1 - sockets 55 + 6 = supply voltage to TCM. is it just a matter of me putting the meter across pin 55 & 6 on the TCU?
