Hunting is gone! (but it's only been 28 miles)
I stumbled across an old thread about "resetting" your tps - turn key to on, depress accelerator for six seconds, turn key off, release accelerator and wait two minutes. Seemed like snake oil or some other kind of crazy but my car behaved really well on the way to work. Has anyone else tried this hocus pocus?

the new TPS will cure the hunting...the VB will fix the TC dropout and the hard downshifts...
I believe that is correct. My hunting disappeared as soon as i installed the Tozo'ed TPS correctly (took me 3 times and a new throttle body gasket before i got it right tho). Then my tranny took a dump and now i have a fully rebuilt one...not hunts, thumps or anything. If all you are experiencing is the hunting...just get the TPS and you should be kosher...Oh, ask Tozo about that generic TPS he found...its like $60-70 cheaper than the OEM Bosch one...which can be purchased from autohausAZ.com for like $177. Good luck...but yeah, the TPS reset is only a temporary cure...it will come back.

RockAuto has the TPS for $112 and it is oem Bosch.
Just search for AIRTEX Part # 5S5014.<ul><li><a href="http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php">here</a></li></ul>
