Default Thanks PK, it's lookin much better. Big thank you to Olu and www.glossbossdetailing.com

I hear they went over the car five times with polish to bring out the bling. I'm quite pleased, and really have no excuse now not to keep her. I'll more than likely have the hood and both bumpers repainted, but other than that, she's lookin purrrty //sweet.

I was up 'til midnight last night puttin on the second coat of caranuba this week.

I had bought a set of used 19" B7 RS4 reps that would have been nice, but they all turned out to be slightly bent. Fortunately, I asked the guy for a week to confirm trueness, and he lived up to his end of the deal. Gave me my money back and picked up his wheels. Now I have some 255/40/19s that need some 19" wheels. Hartmann\ACH tuning is out of stock for next two months :-(.

Default Sounds like a smart plan - I know the bit of nose rash bothered you fortunately you can't see...

...it on SILVER! 8-)

Yours looks like it's frickin glowing! Wow.

Bum deal on the RS4 reps, again those do look *quite* nice on there! Best of luck on a new or other set, def. report back.

I reiterate: beware BSB, don't bend over for that Carnuba!!!

That looks much better. I should have done that while I was in mine.

Default Sounds like I'm going in for surgery on the lights again!!! : )

I was just worried it might leak or fog more than it does now.

You're welcome! Yes, we washed it, polished it five times, applied a sealant and a coat of wax. The bumpers look much better, but still, plenty of rock chips. We found out that Audi paint/clearcoat is hard as nails. After the first two polishes, looking at it reminded us of the movie "Independence Day," where they launched a nuke at the alien ship and it didn't leave a scratch ... just an angrier space ship! LOL

Everything also brought out the chips in the hood. Aside from that, we were quite pleased with how it turned out. I dodged every puddle and spec of dirt driving it back to Jim's house, but it was funny to see all the double takes from other drivers on the highway. Pictures don't do it justice ... but I'll throw a couple more in anyway.

Default If you are leaking/fogging I would suspect the rubber gaskets. The seal between...

the lens and the lens frame is mucho sticky stuff. Perhaps some gasket goop is in order for you on reassembly. I would also clean the inside of the lens before reassembly. Jim's was rather cloudy.

Mark

P.S. We did not move the bumper at all and the headlights made it out OK but the clearance was tight.
