Man that's horrible. I'm almost certain, that will be considered a total. As you know many areas of the car have been messed with. If you keep the car, make sure a top notch guy does it, because it is a seriously top notch car. Don't let the insurance companies push you around. Something that commonly happens with these cars because even the claims adjusters don't have a clue as to what these cars are. I've been to court over my repairs with the opposing side based on their lack of knowledge. I won too.
These cars are hidden treasures and needless to say extremely expensive to fix.
I'm curious if they only targeted you car or if there were many cars in the lot that were bruised as well? If only yours, I wonder why they cherry picked yours out of the bunch?
Anyway, you look at it it's horrible thing, I feel for you.

The SOB's who did that should be placed in Saddam's hole.
I was just thinking about security cameras for my car. Place a video camera front and back that could be activated when you park your car. Would want audio as well so could "hear" the door into your door at the parking lot. Or, mount a 4 camera system in the headliner with 4 cameras shoting all 4 directions? Anyone here of such a devise?

Chronic, nothing to say that hasn't been said....
this is awful, but it will get fixed. Now's a good time to remember the good things in life: family, friends, health, (I'd list the Jets here but not after yesterday's performance). A car is only a car, and while we all have visceral (and maybe unusual :-)) attachments to our A8's, they can always be repaired or replaced.
Hope you can still enjoy the holidays with friends and family, and erase this problem at the beginning of the new year.
