Insulated glass standard or option on S8?
The 03 I'm looking at doesn't have the solar sunroof, but it has the Guidance package (I can see the parktronic sensors and the telematics, but I don't see a NAV puck - does the 'shark fin' antenna replace it?), and the Premium package (elec rear shade and side shades). It has the front/rear heated seats, etc, etc...
Its an 'Executive Edition' - whatever that means, and CPO to 2009.
My local Audi A8 mechanic sez he can put the solar sunroof in. Just wondering if the insulated glass is part of the solar sunroof option.

I'm pretty sure that the insulated glass is part of the hot weather package......
that came standard on the S8s. I just looked at the glass in my '03 and it IS the insulated dual-layer type. I need to retrofit the solar sunroof into my car as well- let me know what you find out.

When meeting with mpollan and jim03s8 last week, they both have '03 S8s and I have an '02. I did notice that they both had shark fins while I have the trunk-mounted 'puck,' so I am guessing it was done away with for '03. I thought all S8s had insulated glass, but am not certain.
