Default Intake question.

My car whistles like a tea pot when accelerating hard, how can I improve this condition? I'm under the assumption she wants(needs) less restricted airflow.
Thanks

Check your PCV suction jet pump (venturi thingamy) I recall they can crack or clog.

The facelift 40v cars have a different gadget that has it's own set of problems (freezing in winter, internal leakage) but the early cars, I believe, have this 'pump' that tries to maintain PCV vacuum at all times.

When I was testing my PCV system I put a vacuum/boost gauge on my dipstick tube to see if my crankcase was under vacuum at full load. That was pretty easy with some tubing and adapters, and a beat up old boost gauge I've had for ages. If you have a way of doing this, it might be worth checking. A simple vacuum gauge should work as you should see a slight vacuum under all conditions if your system is working. If it is pressurizing under full load, that might cause a leak somewhere to whistle (and high oil consumption.)
