Interesting transmission fill thought.

Interesting transmission fill thought.
Hello All,
Make a long story short - I was installing a wireless network for a client and he had a Audi 200. We talked about transmissions and how flakey the Audi trannies are, he mentioned that you had to tilt his car 10 degrees (front up) half way though the tranny fluid fill and then back to level. This allowed the fluid to reach the certain parts of the tranny.
Makes me wonder, because the problem normally occurs during downhill driving. The fluid would rush forward. Maybe the tilt allows more tranny fluid in the transmission.
Anybody know anything about this.
Maybe this is the way to fill the tranny better.
Thank you,
Noel Sawyer

IMHO as long as there is enough ATF in the sump not to break prime at the filter screen the pump will fill all parts of the hydraulic system when you row through the gears a time or two at idle. Sounds like hooey to me. Tilting a bit helps fill cooling systems on certain cars, however.
