Default JimR - What 02 sensors did you replace recently?

You use Bosch generic 3 wire, were they pre cat or post cat?

How do you connect the wires? With crimp connections and heat shrink or solder?

As I recall, the soldering method on my old car was very difficult because the wires were tinned.

Default Paul: All four O2 sensors are 4 wire, Bosch generic will work......

I replaced the pre-cat sensors a while ago and I used crimp connections, sealed them with high temp RTV, and shrink wrapped each connection as well as the whole connection assembly. It seems to be working fine, so far.

I've done it both ways, the connectors that come with the Bosch sensors are actually pretty good

Default Paul, I've seen them online for about $79-$99 ....

local Autozone around here has them for $99. The two pre-cats are the ones u would want to change. The computer uses these for adjustments to the air/fuel and other things. The post-cats are just there for emissions. If no code, I wouldn't change them, but if u have over 100k+ on the org. change them.

Default definitley do it, on the 40v the pass is really hard. I changed the pre cats only and

it's a little smoother idle all around and much better at startup.

Default Bosch generic. Pretty sure they were 4-wire. I did the pre-cat ones only. (now with added pic!)

They come with their own splice connector.
