I was hear years ago under "floatinghat" I couldn't log in so....

I owned and A8 years back and am thinking of another sedan. I found a '02 S8 that was alemon law by back it has about 70k on it. What if anything do you think its worth? They mentioned $19K but I think that's high? I'm thinking the recall was for the "imobilizer" at at 70k miles the bug should be worked out.

thoughts, any great deals on well care A/S8's?

Could be because I am thinking about it so much just walk away?

nothing tho. Just some initial bugs. New cluster and recode at the deal probably took care of it.

I was just logging on to post a thread about this car!

Is there a decent way for checking out the reason a car is a manufacture buy back? Maybe Carfax or through an Audi dealer?

And if Bruce M reads this: Would it be possible to get a extended warranty for such a car and would it cost extra?

The price does seem a bit high do to the buy back status of the car but they could be negotiable.

be careful, there was someone here who had the immobilizer/cluster go on them twice.

Thanks I hadn't heard about them going more than once. Pretty sure I'm going to pass on it or at least let him hang on to it longer, and them maybe looow ball.
