Looking for a mechanic for pre-purchase inspection of a D2 S8 in the Boston area.
Hello. I may be upgrading from my `99 A8 to an `03 S8. I need to find a mechanic that really knows the D2. My independent mechanic who was Audi trained with many years has gone back into the dealer network. I don't blame him actually. How many of us move under the umbrella of a larger corporation in our job choices in order to get reimbursement for educational expenses? I guess he can continue on with Audi's ever evolving platforms.
It's been years since I have posted here. Life with the `99 A8 over the past 5 years has been great, but now I am looking for a change in scenery. This unit has a very good repair history. The independent is asking 18K with 87K miles on the clock. My A8 is at 131K and needs some maintenance issues addressed. I figured this is a good as time as any to upgrade. I am a sucker for Ming Blue.
Any help regarding this matter would be appreciated. It's kind of funny that when I searched the forums for help, I found my original post requesting help.

how's metrowest/ needham area for you?
A PPI on a used car is something Brians Garage has done for me. Been about 5 years going to them , 150k on her now.
I see many d2 s8s there for service too

i live in downtown area have 01 s8, great to see you upgradeing..i have 2 really good mechanics
brian at brians garage is awesome they are in needham right off of 95...they always do a great job
