I have a mk 4 golf 2.0 gti 2001 and lately i have been losseing power mainly when going up a hill and also high fuel consumption ihad all differnet codes from it and fix most of them will think i have replaced fuel pump , new cat , new cat senor, mainfold senor , 4x injectors , fuel filter, crank senor ,4x spark plugs , coil pack , and ht leads are ok all reading same ohms and swaped them around and still get code for number 4 cylinder and still have the same problem and now its the same codes and if i clear them and drive on flat roads fast or normal its fine (codes are 16688/16684) please help thank you

Step 1: Sell the VW Golf
Step 2: Buy an Audi A8
Step 3: Enjoy the increased power of a V8
Step 4: Profit???
All joking aside, the codes 16688/16684 (P0304/P0300) are still showing a misfire on cylinder #4. With everything that you've replaced, I'd look at the wiring within the harness going to the injector and coil for cylinder 4. More than once I've found corroded wires which would cause an intermittent short.
As posted above, you'll probably have more insight and more helpful replies if you posed your question on a forum that's specific to the VW Golf instead of an Audi forum.
