Lower Fog light Grills
#61
The reason we "spout off" about them is the damned single piece ones are running $270+ a piece from Audi. That's a DAMNED expensive piece of plastic that can just frikkin' fall out on a hard jolt. It's just f**king ridiculous.

Easy-Square in Holland sells at trade or better like Carparts-Pros. They are usually very competitive on freight.
It can pay to think beyond the USA for parts.
That's because in Europe (one of those pesky continents that isn't North America) the D2 Facelift ran from 1999 - 2002.
2003 as a model year for the D2 is a US thing.

This may sound like a dumb question, actually I'm sure it is, but how do you remove the fog light grills on a 2001 model? I replaced my passenger side grill about a year ago while the car was in the shop and I had them install and secure it with a wire tie. I want to secure the driver side now but I can't figure out how to remove it. I tried the obvious and pushed in and pulled down the tabs above the top grill but it's not coming out. Thanks

The top inside (closest to radiator) tab pulls down (there's a screwdriver slot).
The outside (fog light end) of the grill has two locating tabs holding it in place.
So, once you've pulled down the top inside tab, you pull the grille out from the radiator end and pull it in such a way as to unslot the locating tabs.
If it won't come out that way, check for screws or zip ties already holding it in (or even glue depending on the previous owner/s!).
