MMI
We just picked up a new 04 A8 to develop our 4.2 supercharger system on. The car that we purchased had a few problems the first few days so the dealer gave us a new car tonight (good CSI).
My question is regarding the MMI. The "new" car is not showing the options in the MMI that control the interior lighting schemes. There are also several other settings that do not appear. This is weird because the car was an exact clone of the car they took back. Anyone have any experience with this? Maybe a new MMi sofware download?
I must say this car is a machine. I cant wait till it has 450 supercharged/intercooled HP!
Thanks,

Modular aftermarket...
Similar poweplants span the D2, D3, and Phaeton, Toureg, Cayenne.... If you could build a supercharger that would have an adapter plate or something (think roots-style blower) for the different applications, the only difference is the adapter plate and maybe pulleys. The supercharger itself becomes easier to build and market and cheaper as it is more readily mass-produced.
