Default My S8 is falling down, falling down ,falling down.......

So I droped my car last night. Jacked up one side took the tire off ( was painting the calipers red), figured let me jack up the other side so it will go faster, started on the other side almost got all the way upp tire of the ground, and down it went on to the other side, falling on the rotor. It looked like in slow motion and you cant do anything. Thank god the door was closed, or it would stay on the curb as the car went down. Freaked me out for a minute, but got it back up one side this time looks like no damage just the aluminum plate bent behind the rotor. Finished painting the calipers btw looks great!

Default Re: BTW..

Cleaned the A/C drain system yesterday using Pauls manual, but did not need to take the gas padel off at all had enough clearence. Used a vacum cleaner (blowing the other way) to clean the lines, I hope this will do the trick. But I still did not figure out how to do the other drain using copper tube may be some one can clear this up for me exactly how to do it.

Default I pitched those aluminum splash guards front and rear six years ago.

The only difference I notice is that stones no longer get trapped between the rotor and splash guard :-)

The dealer paid to refinish 4 anodized wheels after acid-washing them.

While at it, I replaced chromed fasteners with black.

What are those splash guards there for anyway? I think it would be more aesthetically pleasing w/o.

I've never jacked up more than one corner at once.

Default Here ya go--->

I was just over at the Performance & Tuning Forum and saw this. It's a bit much ($$) considering it doesn't go any higher than jackstands, but it certainly seems sturdier.

Click

Default For less money than that, you could get something like this:

Bend Pak Low Rise Vehicle Lift

Plus it seems more stable to me, although less portable.

Default Yeah, here's the original color.

Should I be glad I'm colorblind?
