Default Re: I've had points from NY show up in Indiana :(

There are a vast amount of people with different backgrounds but we don't have nay lawyer on board. That is amzing. Otherwise, they already taken the transmission issue to AOA... Go figure.

Default Actually, I am an attorney, but I have never fought

a ticket on a professional level. I do, however, have an interesting ticket story. Early this year I received a speeding ticket in Oklahoma. Upon returning home I did some quickie research on Oklahoma law and found out that they only report speeding violations over XX mph. I had exceeded XX by 4 mph. So, I asked the Court to reduce the speed indicated on my ticket to less than XX so the ticket would not be reported to my home state (VA). It worked, and the resulting fine plus court costs was less than the original fine. Moral of the story - be honest with the Court and don't try to weasel out of the ticket with some oddball story; the judges have heard them all.

Definitely hire an attorney with experience fighting tickets if you don't want the ticket on your record.

Default Ouch! thats just crazy..

..if I travel 130 km/h (80 m/h) on hwy with speed limit of 110, cops dont even bother to pull me over here in Alberta, Canada. Reckless driving (stunting) begins at speed limit + 60 km/h.

Default Judgement BEFORE probation!!! that's what you want

plead innocent... judge will some type of money.. so he/she will offer u judgement b4 probation, which means play it safe for 3-4yrs and they'll erase the ticket from their databanks.

Default Happened to me

I got nabbed almost 2 years ago in VA north of Lynchburg doing 77 in a 55. At the time I was from PA and the cop also told me it was considered reckless over 20+mph. So i lived like 4-5 hours from where i got the ticket and the ticket cost $234 and there was noway I was going to drive back down for a court appearance I wasn't going to win. So I just called up and paid it over the phone. It never showed up on my PA license. So i dont think you willg et probation or whatever you think you will get.
