Parking sensor error - help?
Can anyone help me here - the parking sensor on my 2000 A8 now just emits a short (2-3 sec) high-pitched beep from the dash and light flashes and nothing else. This is intermittent - happened yesterday lunch, not in the evening, but is happening again this morning - anyone got any clues as to why and if it is something simple to fix or will I have to take it into the dealer...?

If your car is dirty...
You could try and clean the sensors, but make sure you don't scratch the surface, which could actually damage the sensors.
If you car is clean, this could mean any one of the sensor is faulty and requires replacement (ours got replaced twice). I heard the dealers have a special tool to test out the sensors and if your car is under warrenty, take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.
