Pirelli Zeros Any Good?

Pirelli Zeros Any Good?
My experience with Pirellis has not been good, to say the least.
Yet, the only summer tire available in 245/50x17 is the Pirelli P Zero, at $210+ each (Tire Rack). I live in the South and do zip snow/mud driving.
Given a choice, I would go with Bridgestone 03's, or top line Michelins, but they're not avail in the "oversize" 245/50 17 tire for the A8.
I'm almost tempted to just stick with the stock 225/55 17 size in order to get a Bridgestone or Michelin tire choice.
Anyone out their had experience with current Pirellis?
Tks,
John

I've had P-Zero's on my '01Porsche 996 and loved them, including abuse @ track events.
Given the circumstances you've mentioned, if you're using stock wheels, I would go with the stock size of 225/55-17, and get the SO3's for $165 each. A bargain IMHO...
