Default Question about 97 Tiptronic Install/TCM
In addition to the procedure on Paul's site, do I need to be concerned about the TCM model I have? I have model # 4D0 927 156KA, not the newer 4D0 927 156BH. Do I need to buy the newer TCM? Will tiptronic work with my old one? If so, what are the disadvantages of keeping the old one and could it lead to possible damage?

Also switched to 00011 last night- so far so good!

Don't know much about the part numbers you posted, but your TCM should work just fine

Default Do all 97-99 TCMs work with Tip?
So you think all 97-99 TCMs should work? Anyway (anywhere) I can find the differences between the different TCMs?

I have a 97 TCU and a 98 TCU, both work on my car, and they have different part numbers

Default Will any 98-99 tip shifter work?
I assume that I need a tip shifter from a 98-9 A8? will the A6 shifter work, or A6 4.2?
