and I think I realized why my oval lift point bumpers were removed and stored under the passenger seat .. the holes they plug are the flatbed transport tie-down ports!

Could be wrong, but it makes sense.

Default Bingo; found a picture and it's correct.

Hydraulic lift point bumpers are also the flatbed towing tie-down hole plugs.<ul><li><a href="http://www.20vturbo.com/tsb/mirror/audipdf/50-96-02.pdf">Confirmation page, with pics</a></li></ul>

Default It also says it can make wind noise

The thing fell off some time ago, like in the past year. I have found that I have what sounds like a bad seal on the driver's door (has a little more wind noise than before, it didn't really have any).....I wonder if that's it.

I will have to check if it's on the driver's side....I know it's on one side!

The reason I wasn't worried about it is because I can't fit a jack under the front jack point since I lowered it. With it off, I can fit the jack under there. On the other side I have to jack the back slightly to raise the front so I can get the jack under there.....
