Rebuild transmission from Phoenix, first glitch
Damn, after a week of waiting for a rebuild tranny finally decided to call them and find out whats going on. My sales rep. pulled a invoice number and started to appologize, transmission I ordered on 07/12/2006 is still under rebuild process! Originally he promised that it will leave the plant next day. Now my plans for a first week of August are screwed. Problem is in some internal part which they had to order from Audi and still waiting for it. They should of atleast notified my about it since I was waiting for it for a last couple of days.

Get ready! My list of problems with Phoenix was long and obscene in
competency.(Opinion) I cannot in good conscience recommend them at all. I hope that somehow the stars all align for you and things work out for you.

Another dissapointment
They do NOT offer Platinum warranty for A8, in fact for any Audi. This is due to extensive labor required to remove transmission (they saying 12 hours for A8). So I not going to even bother with Audi fluid, I'll use Mobil 1 ATF + LubeGard + regular service and hope that tranny will last for at least 100k. I just not looking forward to change it again at my own expense.
