RS6 engine

Anybody know of any tuners currently working on a upgrade for the 4.2 engine in the A8 to a biturbo setup like the RS6? About how much would such a kit cost?

Just buy the RS6. Early test versions melted plastics and rubber under hood.

If anyone is going to try, it will be HPA in Vancouver.

MTM do S8 engines to 430, 450 and 470HP flavours, but only 340 for A8

Agreed, engines are not the same I hear

Spoke to a MTM representative this weekend, he actually claimed that there wasn't two bolts that where the same in the A8/S6/S8 and the RS6 4,2 engines. Do you know if this is right?

He actually didn't recommend turbo or supercharging the A8/S8 at all either. At least if you want a reliable car with modest maintenance cost...
