Auto Spies Exclusive: Audi RS4, RS6 and RS8 info
The inside scoop

Just in from one of our spies:

001,

Spoke to my Audi guy and he tells me that even though the RS6 is so limited and all that...dealers have them available. West coast dealers are sold out, but East coast dealers have plenty spots available.

He also said, the RS8 will be out for sure and he mentioned that Audi is leaning towards, putting the W12 engine (non-turbo) in it.

Finally, with the large investment from AUDI/VW group in to "quattro gmbh", the RS8 will be out first, followed by an RS4 in the US.

Default I thought that all of Audi's future RS models were going to have turbo or twin turbo engines

Perhaps all of Audi's future RS models are now going to have supercharged engines instead? Turbo (be it single, twin, quad, etc.) or supercharged engines are a must for any of Audi's future RS models (including the RS8) to match or beat all comparable M and AMG models from BMW and Mercedes. Normally aspirated engines will simply just not cut it for any of Audi's future RS models if Audi is truly serious about all of their future RS models matching or beating all comparable M and AMG models from BMW and Mercedes.

Default Then again, Auto Spies is not the most accurate automotive source out there

They are sometimes wrong about certain things. Unless Audi is going to switch from twin turbo to supercharged forced induced engines for all of their future RS models (would be great and a smart move, IMO), I believe that the W12 in the new RS8 will be twin turbo and not "non turbo" or normally aspirated as Auto Spies indicated.
