Expect a chip to add about 15 HP, a whopping 4%, and to disable the 155 mph speed limiter ... for ~$800.
The S8 motor is already well tweaked, and without turbo's, you can't use a chip to just crank up the boost.

what company you think is the most reliable for a chip ? I am going to put the chip, air filter and the exhaust system anyway. I believe it will make a difference. I drove a 6 speed supercharged S-8 but don't want to spend 40 large.

Just did the exhaust myself...

Chips... who said they can't do much? I drive a 98 S8 with 32V engine (stock 340 hp) and on the dyno it had 367 hp at the cranck after chipping , i don't know how much before chipping anyway... I also have mtm exhaust but i don't know if that helped anything , i bought it only for sound...
