S8 d2 Bluetooth
Hallo guys, first post for me.
I’d like some advice on the best way to add Bluetooth to my Audi Nav Plus. I want to stream music and podcasts and possibly talk on the phone.
What’s my best option for my beautiful 2000 perfect silver/black babe ? Thanx for the advice

Hey Shasa,
Welcome to the forum.
There are some great aftermarket products available for this. The option i am looking at:

Unfortunately for me, the radio will have to wait for a while. As I'm having Lemforder upper control arms and inner & outer tie rods installed next week. Next I have to address a sagging headliner issue. Then new tires. (Conti DWS ) The list never stops ; )
If you purchase the unit, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
Good luck.

Greetings,
The unit seems very similar to a Chinese unit branded Seicane.com ( funny in Italian it means “you’re a dog”).
I heard sometimes they are not very well built and break down. Do you have any direct experience mate?
Cheers, thanx for the advice

Thank you, this seems to be the place for us lovers of gasoline guzzlin’ beauties .

Lol i know... so better not take that one then.
It probably is the same as the Seicane.com one, but let's be honest, doesn't everything come from China now a days. I contacted the seller and they give 2 years warranty. Best option for the cheapest price imo. You could always go for the newer audi RDS but they will set you back around 2.000 euros with installment. And to be honest, you don't get as many features as the 'Chinese' gives you.
Unfortunately i just had my turbos rebuilt after they started to whistle a bit to loud... Set me back 1000 Euros. So i must wait a bit before i can give you feedback about this device.
Good luck.

Same here, i am thinking of just buying some fabric glue and easaly glue it back to the roof... not sure if that is a good idea?? How are you taking care of this??

Mine's sagging in the rear passenger's side. Where is yours sagging?
Good luck.

After market audio options for D2
Shasa - I recently installed a GROM Audio box in my 2003 S8. I hooked up both the USB and Audio cable to get power, sound and calls through my speakers. I wanted to figure out how to port my iphone through the built-in car phone but its too old.
Anyway - I have been very happy with it. Straightforward install.

Dension BT module in lieu of CD changer
Keep the factory Head Unit. The Chinesium one in my Cayenne looks neat, but it sucks. Overheats and shuts off in the summer, the Bose translator box gives lousy sound and I've got to chase an intermittent ground side hum. If the quality was better and Bose played nicely with the aftermarket, it would be awesome. Until then, save your money.

I really am happy my my stock RDN but the only thing is that in my A8 there is no signal at all if i want to use my phone as GPS... Does anyone know of another way to use the existing GPS antenna with another device??
