Just picked up my 2007 S8 in NY area - incredible car, but trying to figure out my snow tire strategy...doesn't look like snow tires are available for the S8 anytime soon. Dealer suggested A8 wheels & Bridgestone Blizzak tires (for another $4k) but was a bit cagey in guaranteeing that they won't cause performance issues with the S8. I guess it's all understandable for a new model to have limited aftermarket tire options, but would have expected a better inclement weather solution - otherwise the all wheel drive doesn't do much good...any thoughts / advice appreciated, esp. as relates to using the A8 wheels - as that seems to be the only option available today.

Go to your dealer and see if they have an A8 with 19s that they could test fit the wheels on yours.

Thanks - they did claim the brakes would clear, one of the few wheels that would...but I'm still a bit concerned that it might cause some other performance issue down the road - maybe I'm being paranoid or a bit overcautious but the car is so finely tuned I don't want to do anything to mess with it. Will try the D3 forum as well.
