Hi everybody,

Thank you very much is not enough words to say for ( Audi Pages + AudiWorld ), coz the web sites helped me alot to fix my car in many different parts..
but, i have little problem with my car.

the problem is:

when i start up the engine, everything is fine with it, but after few minutes turn off it self..!!
sometimes the RPM gage is lower than normal..!!!
if i'm driving it, nothing goes wrong, but when i park somewhere the car turn off it self..!! i don't know why??!!!

even i replaced some parts:
sparks plugs..
fuel filter..
air filter..
and everything belong to the fuel system..

I tried to rest the fault codes many times..!!

but it still happen..!!

the code reader gave me something like that:

the fault scanner is ( Autoboss )

Cylinder 4 - Injector Fault
O2 Sensor - Voltage Low
Cylinder #4 - Misfire Detected
Cylinder #8 - Misfire Detected

thats all what i found in my: Audi S8 1998 4.2 Quattro ( Dubai Dealer)
could you please HELP Me...!!??
Many Thanks..

Default It happens with my car every morning, idle control problem.

Check for cracked or disconnected vacuum hoses.

Default I'm not sure but isn't there an idle control sensor?

By the way, beautiful car. It's the first time that I see a picture of a 98 S8, they did not make it to the U.S. until 2001.

I would at least check ohms and function on the cyl 4 injector as you have two diagnostic indicators something is not right there. A cheap "noid" light will show if it is getting pulses or you can listen to it using a long screwdriver. (clicking) Pull the sparkplug and see if is dark rich or chalk white (lean).

If things are good and hot sometimes electronic components will shut down on a "hot soak", but work cold.

Check all vac lines, that is good advice.

This is probably a minor problem, once you find it.

Default I would agree, most likely unmetered air getting in on intake side

It could be loose hose clamps (first thing to check) or a burned intake manifold gasket that is leaking.

Good luck....cool car!!!

Default neat picture

probably not too many S8s are driven in such locations. do you have GPS coords for the location where it was taken? I call your attention to the excellent site:
